But in the spirit of touching base, this site is on about people networking and being in touch.
Defwelfareau originally wanted to provide an opportunity for YOU to send in discussions and encouragement to others - especially those on exercises or deployment - by running some kind of forum facility between Defence people and their friends (particularly if some were cut-off and had found it difficult to socialise physically).
But now, due to Facebook and other social networking sites having practically achieved that, this site merely functions by showing such basic information as events and work done (as mentioned), contact details, some pics, and, down the track, some inspirational content.
HOWEVER, this page will direct you straight to Facebook in order to get in touch - in order to achieve that networking goal. And if you are in that category mentioned above of being isolated for some reason then you should find something below that is appropriate.
